02

Information and why it is used

Visiting the website

Delivering a web page requires technical connection information. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or system information and traffic data. This supports delivery, error handling and protection against abuse.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as your name, company, message and attachments. We use this to read, assess and respond to your enquiry and manage related correspondence.

For general and business contact enquiries, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies. Information may also be processed where a legal obligation requires it (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Contacting us is voluntary. Without a usable reply address or enough information, we may be unable to answer. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.

This website does not use your information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, or for profiling.

03

Cookies and external links

The website’s own code does not set cookies or store information in your browser. Images, fonts and scripts are delivered with the site, without contacting an external font, advertising or analytics service.

Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies when a protection feature or security check is applied. Their use and lifetime depend on the feature involved. See Cloudflare’s cookie information for details. Browser settings let you manage cookies; blocking necessary cookies can affect access.

The map link opens Google Maps only when you follow it. Email links open your chosen email application and do not send a message automatically. External services process information under their own policies.

04

Providers and international transfers

Cloudflare, Inc. provides website hosting, content delivery and security. It processes data on our behalf for some activities, and as a separate controller for certain network and security activities described in its privacy policy.

Our email service provider processes correspondence to deliver, store and protect messages. Information may also be shared with authorised people handling an enquiry, professional advisers where needed, or authorities where disclosure is required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Cloudflare describes its transfer safeguards, including applicable adequacy arrangements and standard contractual clauses, in its privacy policy. For information about safeguards applying to your correspondence, or a copy of relevant safeguards, contact us using the details above.

05

Retention and security

Enquiry information is kept for the time needed to handle the enquiry and any reasonable follow-up. The relevant factors are whether the discussion is ongoing, whether it leads to an engagement, and whether records are needed to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We remove enquiry information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

Technical data is retained according to the hosting and security services involved, their settings and the provider’s retention practices. This website does not maintain a separate visitor database.

The live website uses HTTPS. Access to correspondence is limited to people who need it for the purposes described here. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

06

Your privacy rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable data protection law, you may ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy.

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. If we rely on consent for a separate activity, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Send a request to gabor.t@derringo.com or write to the address above. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month; where the law permits an extension, you will be informed of it and the reason.

You may lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, or the competent supervisory authority in your country of residence, workplace or the place of an alleged infringement. You do not have to contact us first.
